Pilot Program of the Master Plan

Sunset Wildflower Planting

SF Public Works, Climate Action Now! and the California Native Plant Society – Yerba Buena Chapter are partnering to facilitate the first roll-out of the Sunset Blvd Master Plan along the median blocks of 36th and 37th avenues between Santiago and Taraval streets.

Sixty native street trees will be planted on each block along with 2,500 square feet of wildflower meadows and 10,000 square feet of coastal scrub.

Neighbors and the larger community can enjoy this demonstration of our native ecosystem as more improvements will be made along the ecological corridor over the coming years.
